A large variety of teeth whitening agents such as teeth whitening gels and
bleach are now available in the market to cure the problem of teeth
discolouration. Zoom teeth whitening system that uses hydrogen peroxide
based teeth whitening formula has become quite popular among the masses
these days. This affordable and effective teeth whitening system attracts
many to this new formula.
Zoom teeth whitening system come in a pre-packaged form with two individual
components. A pack of zoom teeth whitening system will contain 32% hydrogen
peroxide gel and an activator. These two components are to be mixed together
by the person using the whitener at the time of application. When mixed, it
will become a twenty five percent concentration of hydrogen peroxide and
that has a pH between 7.5 and 8.5.
Zoom teeth whitening system also makes use of a mercury metal halide light
known as bleaching light. According to the dentists use of bleaching light
at a specific wavelength will provide more whitening effect to the teeth.
The wavelength of the halide light will normally be in the range of 300 to
400nm. When bleaching light is passed to the teeth it will activate some
part of the zoom whitener and in turn it will increase the whitening effect
of the teeth. The infrared filter used in the light will help to reduce the
amount of heat emitted from the light to protect the surface of the teeth
from the heat by filtering the emissions from the light.
The main advantage of using this bleaching light is that it can be used to
illuminate all the teeth of the upper and lower jaws simultaneously if the
same is placed at a specific distance. The person undergoing the teeth
whitening treatment therefore need not bother about a second sitting to
treat the other layer of the teeth.
When compared to the application of gels and bleach for the purpose of teeth
whitening this treatment mode requires less time to finish the treatment.
When overnight gel treatment requires six to eight nights to complete the
treatment, zoom teeth whitening will require only an hour to complete the
procedures of treatment. The entire treatment programme using zoom teeth
whitening will be broken down in to three individual applications consisting
of twenty minutes. The dentist will take another thirty minutes to prepare
the patient before the beginning of each session making the total time
required for the treatment as one and a half hours.
At the end of the treatment using zoom teeth whitening system the patient
will be given an additional whitener by the dentist with instructions to
enable the patient to continue the whitening process at home without the
help of the dentist.
The patient will be able to finish the work in a single sitting. Neither
like many other teeth whitening programmes it does nor require any down time
or rest days. He or she can return to his normal routine the very next day
of the treatment.
